This deal has been up for a while now, and is still ongoing. I got mine a couple weeks ago and it sounds great especially coming from my BIC PL-200 (which was great in its own right). This sub is much tighter with more clarity and of course much more output. This sub is not overly boomy, I really like it… but it's HUGE for a 14" sub!
Adorama shipped it fast and the box was in perfect shape (surprising as this is close to 84lbs). Lots of people saying Adorama doesn't handle shipping well; mine was perfect.
If you can find a spot for this monster, you won't be disappointed! I believe this is the best Home Theater value you could possibly get.
Your question is akin to saying "this Toyota Corolla or this Ferrari Roma". They are both cars, but it's hard to compare the two otherwise. If your budget for a sub is $100, get the Jamo. If your budget is $700, this is a great option.
When I ordered this sub from adorama the packaging came damaged, but the sub itself was fine. But I also ordered speakers from them that were beat to hell. And the packaging was destroyed in shipping. They kept insisting that I mail them back even tho the boxes they came in were literally falling apart. In the end they gave me store credit which I couldn't get to work on their website and their sales people couldn't access the website prices so to use the credit over the phone I'd have had to pay a higher price. It no joke was over 60 emails and several phone calls to get this resolved.
The sub itself is amazing. Adoramas customer service is suspect.

Man I really want this but no shot this comes in undamaged at 80+ pounds.
I had a set of 2 tower speakers come in and both were damaged and returned, 2nd set 1 was fine and the 2nd was damaged, got the 3rd speaker in and still damaged but after weeks of back and forth I just took a discount and kept it.
My rear speakers similar issue, first set damaged had to return but the 2nd set was fine.
I really hate they just ship everything in the factory box. Maybe since the sub is essentially square it will be packaged better byt man I feel like it's a roll of the dice.
Props to adorama. No issues with returning and getting replacements.
Bought my first last BF. Picked up a second when they came back at this price a month or so ago.
Both delivered cross country within a week via UPS ground. Like any quality sub of this size, these are heavy.. Moderate exterior shipping box damage with zero speaker damage.
The only downside I'm aware of at this price point is the larger than average size for a 14" sub. Extremely happy with both purchases so far.
I got it a couple deals ago and total game changer sound wise in my basement. It's huge, you could eat dinner off the thing. Such a good addition, wouldn't hesitate if you have room.

Maybe I'm just bad luck lol.
I and many others have received their sub with no damage.
Both mine came with no damage to the subs. The boxes were a littlr bit beat up. Since Adorama ships using UPS, your luck depends on what UPS does with the box. Not really Adorama's fault, but they could ship using freight instead, however that would cost more.
I ordered 2, and both were delivered yesterday. The boxes had some damage to both of them, but no damage to the subs . The subs are package well inside the boxes that help with any damages the box may have.

Seems more down to the carrier than Adorama. I ordered multiple times and have no issues so far (knock on wood)

Got a pair of these to replace my dual svs pb-1000 and the diffference is telling. During movies, the subsonic bass that you can feel pressurizing your body is insane. Even with the gain at just 6, I have to turn down my AVR sub db to -2.
